The season can end any day and for deathfarming you should have atleast one pass because the highest unlocked class determines the amount of xp you lose per death so agreed with others skip it for now. It does make sense to have a separate deathfarm character because you can always play a few minutes on it here and there, while still keeping your proficiency progress and being available for a group climb on main. To deathfarm most efficiently tho you would do it on a char that has prof, get all relevant objectives done with decent rolls and chug a few pots. Also skilling is most efficient if you do it when regening, another reason for only playing one char (don't do this on hc :))

i would disagree on the skipping deathfarming. prof is basically worthless and personally i recommend getting as much fg as you can whilst you're in a good position to do so.
saving up and buying a decent level 55 weapon will make life much simpler for hitting level 71. Trying to do it with that lvl 35 weapon is going to take you many many hours. I've seen it done before so it is doable.

There's also no guarantee you pass the first MQ either and seeing the exp lost is based on if you pass and the amount of exp lost from 0 passes to 1 pass isn't too substantial, i don't think the xp loss reasoning is valid.

I may be able to sort out a reasonably cheap lvl 55 axe as one of the muters has a few hanging around. There is likely to be very few swords/clubs available simply because that's what the new players usually buy and then quit rather than posting them back on marketplace.

At the very least i'd highly highly recommend you sort out level 55 gear before going to level 71 and to deathfarm at level 55 until you have the gear.
level 65+ mobs will absolutely shred your current gear, as i mentioned it is doable but expect to have to full regen after killing 1-2 mobs.

Don't listen to this dude. He likes men's nipples a little too much.

I sent you a little fg as some inspiration to keep trucking.
If you need help or have more questions feel free to join Reals public discord or even pm me. That way you don't get disheartened by some of the people.

I suggest, if you actually enjoy playing this game so much to insert yourself into some communities.
You may have to prove you are not a bot and serious
But you will find more personable guidance than making a thread.

There's a few discords that will let you join their public. It'll help you find a smoother path

I :love: a lot and the info he gives is almost always spot on which is why I have to chime in here...
You lose 10% exp and prof per death without any passes on the char, and after successfully passing your first master quest (1/2 odds) the exp loss per death doubles to 20%.

So instead of going from 90% -> 81% -> 72% -> 65% -> 59% -> 53% -> 47% -> 43% -> 38% -> 34% -> 31% -> 28% -> etc on a feeder

You go from 90% -> 72% -> 57% -> 46% -> 36% -> 29% on a samurai (whether or not you reroll him as a feeder or actually use samurai)

If you deathfarm a lot this is actually a huge deal. Granted, you could fail the first master quest 10 times in a row and then the season gets reset, but I have never made a deathfarmer without any passes since that's torture. More passes are even better but at least get the 1st pass which is a 50/50 shot if you plan to deathfarm a lot :evil:

I have only tested deathfarming on 0, 1, 2, and 3 passes. It's 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%. I haven't paid attention to prof losses, and I do recall seeing that prof losses in the past were not linear like this. IDK what happens if you have a ninja+

Just a question ... during your tests, I am assuming it was intentional. As in, you took the total prof points (say 500 / 15,000) and when you died, you lost 10 / 20 / 30 / 40% (50 feeder / 100 Samurai? / 150 Paladin? & say 200 for Monk) and it would display 450 (feeder) / 400 (samurai) / 350 (Paladin) & 300 (Monk) in the Prof table for every Melee / Cast & Heal prof points that had 500 to start with?

EDIT: I think this is ridiculous, because the 1 death effects every single Melee / Cast & Heal prof ranking ... 10% for ALL WEAPONS AND CHARMS... hey... it should ONLY affect the character Class ITEMS ... not the RESTRICTED items of that class. ... So hey... I am a Guardian, even if I re-roll from paladin, if I die, I only LOSE that % from the ITEMS that the Guardian can use... so since a Guardian can NOT use casting charms... I don't lose any prof points towards Elemental charms.
