I liked the last one, maybe a random stat prize?
Like first to find a + 6 jubilance weapon
Or 6 ml armor
Some random stat that would make people look for items
Would also donate
again an issue revolving around mutes. Would need a workaround there otherwise there will be issues on the proof side.
I also don't see why it differs from looking for EE, at least the EE hunt is exciting and also will be funny because we all know it'll be a robe that wins

Either way I think you just do a pass rate.
Like something along the lines of who ever gets monk with the least fails. Something kind of fun to push newer players into other classes.
Certainly doable, Although some of the new players will struggle getting to MQ even 2-3 times, let alone reaching monk.

Had a great time with the competition 2 years ago. Hope to see you host another one and can't wait to see what you come up with! Thank you ^Bigheaded
/e: my sense of time is abysmal sry
If it helps i thought it was last year as well until i looked for it

Whoever can reach the highest level on a new bufcore char. Not sure how to regulate it though.
Good to see this idea come out the woodwork.
I've thought about this one, and again the proof concept is again an issue unless it's recorded for anything buffcore related. Although i have some ideas of how this could work without needing a recording.
In terms of highest level, there's an issue of multiple active alchemists on both cores, I'm likely to avoid level related simply for that reason this year. I would find it more interesting if there was no buffcore, seeing the winner would possibly be the one who spammed the most +level up maps. Although 5 man mirror maze squads could also do well, as CoK have had some very high level MM finishes.

Wasn't here for the last one, but seems like an awesome way to get the community involved and motivated to click! The prof idea with lottery system seems appealing to me as someone who only has a couple hours to play a day, but I do think it should be skewed more heavily toward the top places. Doesn't seem fair for first place to have like a 1/15 chance of winning or whatever the math adds up to.
The other ideas like finding a random Stat or highest Stat or whatever sounds really cool but also near impossible to regulate. Totally support the community event though!
E/ just read the original competition thread and that payout structure actually seems pretty perfect
I find it interesting how you think the payout was perfect, care to elaborate? As personally i felt only 3 winners on each of the main categories didn't really reward some of the others who were close.
I terms of some other ideas:
Guess the event - I would have a minimum requirement, which is usually 1 MQ completed to be able to participate in this. We had this recently and had some decent feedback from those who played along. Most correct guesses in all the weeks leading upto christmas wins.
Something MQ related - Most MQ's is probably a little boring and in general just worse than using prof as a decider. Perhaps some other ideas on how this could work?
Best mob name - Had something like Hairyhole the disgusting recently.
Speedrunning - Fastest to solo to level 30, Fastest to group MQ this sort of thing.
One day events -
One way of getting round the "highest ee/stat" drop is to make it a 1 day event where you pick a time slot which suits you on a specified day. person who can find the best item in 1-2 hours of play wins.
Could be various different events on each weekend leading upto christmas.
Feel free to expand on anything currently suggested. I've got a few ideas on making buffcore legit without it needing to be recorded if this particular idea is of interest to enough people.
