About as lucky as a pass to ninja.

They could always change it to be +xx% wells.

Edit: I wouldn't consider the current implementation a bug. Working as intended, but as the intention is not defined publicly, the general public assumption of how it "should" be implemented makes it appear as a bug.

Maybe some description about tile effects:
Tiles can have any of the following effects: final chest, well, spin, etc. Tiles can have only 1 active effect. The priority of those effects are: final chest, well, spin, etc.

the problem with a well on the final stop of a map/maze is that you can never go into town or you lose it
its a small chance that doesnt happen much, kinda annoying but not an issue imo

A normal catacomb and hitting the last square guarantees you a Map to appear, even if that square has normal or Evil Presence mobs appear, a Spin to another location, A well, A Chest An Emblem and even a Trap Door... HOWEVER, when you activate a Map that states "+1 Well" and you complete it and the +1 Well doesn't appear, that means the so called +1 Well has been over-ridden with the Final Chest.

I am not sure, but I think that it is an image thing and coding.

Hence my interpretation of the difference with a Maps' maze and a Catacombs' maze and effects.

When a map/maze is generated certain fixed objects are randomly placed.
The final square explored on a MAP will always be overwritten by the reward chest.

Going to town without resetting a fully explored map/maze is possible.

Maze reset happens when 4 conditions are simultaneously meet
1) Fully explored
2) No monsters up in cata
3) All players are in town
4) A player attempts to enter the cata

Therefore you can avoid resetting 2 ways.
1) Leaving monster alive in cata while you are in town. (Recommend just Setting whistle to lvl 1 and spawning them)
2) Have another player inside the cata while you are in town.

Also lowtier maps with multiple treasure chests/evil presences eats away slots well should have spawned in map.
i had some lowtiermaps with +1well with EPS/TC's and failed to get a well multiple times. And no, i dont think it was last square everytime i just think those mods eat away space to spawn well

So you would prefer if the last step chest would be removed instead if a warm light/ep/well/emblem would spawn on that step instead? heck, even a regular tc so u get much less rewards.. ^^
