That will not work, thus, you have to work it out by the total Proficiency Points accumulated on each character because gaining a Rank goes up by 1000 per Rank in addition to the Prof Points gained to get there.

Rank 2 Fishing = 2000 prof points multiplied by 8 characters with the same amount of prof points = 16,000 prof points, thus the highest Rank you will achieve is Rank 5 with 500 prof points = 5,500 prof points.

For the merge just take the max value on the account. You dont loose anything if the current max is selected.
Voted yes for conveniency because its boring To transfer fish or glyph or mute when you dont want to focuss on one skill so switching char would be easier

The point of HC & SC death farming is for the prof weapons/charms not for the skilling.
I was speaking about skilling I don't have any opinion on the rest, and we don't loose prof on skilling when dying so works for me

I agree a point need to be fixed regarding a DEAD one still into the list of characters (Dead with 5 on fishing Alive with 2) --> Do we link the account to 5? or a Dead character is excluded from the moment the merge can be done and so after you can delete your dead character?

Not sure to follow the other point but you are pointing a merge between SC & HC? I think this should not be debated on still have a separation between both cores.
