This game is such simplistic garbage that the only way to die is server lag. Basically the skill to this game required for not dying is just not being unlucky. Thought I'd share to new players who are "unlucky" bastards like myself.

did you do the mirror maze on hardcore? sounds pretty simplistic to me

Or try to solo 4 corners….also a piece of cake in hardcore.

In fact you can probably just lvl 1-71 using tier III gear all by yourself in about an hour or so on hardcore….I mean anytime can do that easily!

I'll say from experience: In most instances of LAG DEATHS, it's still the player's fault.
If they are anything like me, they will tend not to have a good life pool to sustain themselves in case of lag.
It's pretty much that simple

Overall Life pool wasn't what I was referring to, but the amount at the moment.
A great portion of HC refuses to allow their HP to go below say 50-60%
While for myself, it was nothing for me to have 20-25% life, making me very susceptible to RIP
Then add in the gear factor, which is a heavy contributor to the deaths

i usually go to about 40% unless i'm backtracking explored area then i go to like 20%. depends on my lvl and whether or not im in a td. yeah a good amount of my rips are like being at 98/99% and being greedy cause the next kill will regain it all.

I think theres many factors behind any and all HC rips.

1. computer, server or cloudflare lag
2. life pool
3. gear
4. distraction due to watching a video/chatting
5. stunners that will not allow you to go to town
6. being over-tired or intoxicated on some form of substance.


ive only had 2 rips in my now 10 years on HC.. once was ignorance.. having just started on slasher and not knowing what the well did in town (going wayyyy back to when it was still in town) at level 7 i dropped a level 40 item.. instant rip.. and back in January this year i ripped may main being "cata locked" by 3x ep stunners..

as simple and straight foreword as the game is, there's still a plethora of ways to engage and play this game.
