EE is the name of the game for weapons and Armors for you

there is an 80 EE lvl 40 armor that would be just the ticket for you.

after that, Strength helps club weapons the most, so there is a lvl 25 charm with 24 strength that would fit in nicely to your set

both of those would be substantial for you.

after that, if you want to spend a couple dollars he was right that a weapon upgrade would help.

there is a hammer up lvl 45 80EE that you could probably use for MQ actually, or you could grind it out to lvl 50 for an not quite as good axe thats a few fg cheaper.

I looked at the advice (agree to some extent, but... there is the but).

I looked at your character and level with the items you are using and decided to purchase and I am sick and tired of people saying that 80% EE SCALE armor is better when you could have purchased a +30 Strength Plate (level 40 or 45) to give you more killing speed than buying that +28 Earth Charm that is level 45, you could have brought a level 15-30 charm with the same stats at a reasonable price and you can use it in earlier levels through to Master Quest.

Plate / Chain would give you more time in a catacomb compared to that of a Scale armor... the only time you need to use a Scale armor is when you get a Headhunter... you are a LONG way off achieving this if your starting character is a Barbarian / Fighter as 99% of the community SUGGEST you start with... so you won't use a Rogue who uses Scales.

No matter what people say, sometimes it is better to purchase High EE heal charms @ level 25 + and stat 30 base to Intelligence and use the ability Salvation.

Hey, I play my game against the grain, I agree with their advice to some extent (basically if you have the funds to buy great gear), but, as a beginner, buy cheap that will get you to level up just as fast and not die and keep the prof points you have gained and enjoy the game a bit better, and yes, you will make fg from Softcore, they are paying higher than Hardcore because of more player base, so you will end up with some decent items.

EDIT: Forgot to add in my toon... yes my weapon is great, and it is two(2) handed (1.8 sec delay), but I will change my armor @ level 45 to 0% Enhanced Effect with +38 Intelligence / +16 Vitality / +8 life regen up to Master Quest which is level 75 for a Paladin... oh, also change from level 35 Longsword to 45 Polearm around level 65.

View it yourself.

EDIT2:

Forgot to add... reduce the life of the slugsliders to around 5 pixels, kill off all slugsliders that are HEALING first and when you are fully healed up, and all 9 have around 5 pixels of life left, enter and kill off as much as you can before going back into town and before they can respawn (call) more in... so some form of healing will make this faster for you and keep you in game long enough to wipe them out.
