Would the value of current items go up or down? I assume if there were more people playing, more items would be found, maybe making current items value go down?

Items from back when the game was mobbed with people, still sell for the same. I can imagine if there were more items being found. Situations like this for example would happen,
2 of the same items on the market.
Price might drop on one of them cuz someone is undercutting market.

But I don't see item values diminishing.

Well up at some point cause there’s only so much gear out there. It’s way better than it once was but increase the player base by enough and you’ll see prices sky rocket just based off supply demand

Theres a BOAT LOAD of gear thats lost on accounts that will never be logged into again. Currently, theres hardly enough gear to support a big boost of new players.

at least on HC it seems that 99% of gear is worth between 1-100fg or 1000+ fg
if anything, I think the high-end gear would stay about the same, but the mid-level gear would be more valuable

There's shitloads of good items on dead accounts, if all of them suddenly come back just to sell out, prices will drop by 5 times.
But if they haven't sold out when they left the site, they probably won't sell now either, even if by some miracle they come back.

There are almost no good items for trade, if a lot of new people came they'd be forced to use really low/mediocre gear if they want to play
If this new player base wants to use good/high item, prices will go up like crazy... there's hardly enough gear to even support current players :D

I think if lot of new players came and were looking to actually spend fg on items, szsz would be like the only 1 profiting with all this 100ee daggers he got and axes

Even the price history on each item seems to go higher. Supply and demand.

Yea definitely, even low ee 55 items are very hard to drop

Higher muters will make a lot of profit from selling ~100-120 ee items

Supply vs demand

With more ppl playing stuff that gets found often like muteable lvl 55 items would sell for a lot less than they do now.

However, the higher demand items like 100 ee and better stuff which is tough to find would probably increase in price.
