This MAY be a LOT to get through, so please bare with me before actually just voting because I posted this suggestion, damn, you may have some great input to the idea. Remember, YOU do NOT have to PARTICIPATE, so in reality, it does NOT AFFECT YOU, but, you may like to see the OUTCOME of it.

"Proficiency Battle Competitions"

I personally don't see Paul actually bringing back the PvP / Arena (yup, I made a suggestion in the hopes he would.)
Now with Bigheadeds Prof competition, and a few PM's between each other, I thought, maybe we can combine them?

Now, I am going to post some of the rules of this, and in 99% cases, it has to be monitored by a Mod with their approval.

#1 = 1 vs 1 (you can call out a Ladder Slasher player [username])
#2 = You have to choose ONE proficiency skill (weapon [type like dagger, axe, Battleaxe, Spear etc] / cast [light, wind, ice, fire etc]/ heal [reg, focus, wild] / skilling specific i.e. fishing, transmuting etc)

Okay, the above is simple... one(1) type / category of the Prof ranking you are competing in... and NO, this is NOT multiple choice.

If a person accepts the challenge, there are other rules.

#1 ... NEW character with 0 prof points in the selection for BOTH Competitors.
#2 ... The new character starts with STARTING gear ... Tier I items THAT they are awarded with (basically, if you have 16 character slots filled, you may have to delete one of them as long as they fit within the 8/8 rule [damn, think this totally fucks up the competition for people, thanks Paul]
#3 ... you can NOT use gear you have collected on other character, this is basically self found gear ONLY.



Anyway... here is a "Dunce" scenario of what can happen or not;

Jo ... "Yo 'Sphynx', I challenge you to an "Axe prof Battle", and then I will take out the rest of you "Silence" guild members.
Sphynx ... "Yo Jo, bring it on, when do you want it to start BOY (oh wait, you are just a baby and can NOT understand)!!!"

Anyway... Jo / Sphynx have a showdown (record the 1 hour solo play and record the prof gain etc)... now, during this time... some of the Guild members could do side bets on who is going to win with the opposite guild or just Jo because he is NOT in a guild.




Yup, there maybe some tweaks, but at least this competition can evolve and become like PvP Arena in an Around sort of the way.

Got to love this community... they will watch a boxing match or KFC match (yup, I am making a mockery of the sport, sue me), but the people voting No can not even post a reason why not? Damn, even a boxing match has Weight class and so forth.

Never mind, those votes are just from people that don't actually play LS or like a fair bout or two(2).

The best thing I like about LS community... they just see a poll and just read 1 or 2 words then realize it was posted by "Blah"... so click No. and don't give any reasoning... no wonder Covid exists... you are all just a virus.

I kind of want to vote yes just because competition might get some extra activity in the game….but….part of me just wants to vote no simply because of the person that put this poll together….I’ll toss my vote into the 3rd suggestion because F U that’s why

I almost love typing these out, but then I realised I don't need to use bait, just throw the hook n line in... always get a bite in Ladder Slasher, I don't care what response... they just bite, they can NOT help themselves and what is funny... the decade (nearly 2), it just keeps on repeating itself. Oh the fun... Pity they can not just Compete in a manner like this suggestion... I mean Bigheaded did PM me and mentioned a 1 vs 1 competition... but then... he did not like the fact that it had to be solo... so sorry he chickened out.

Novel addition to the suggestion.

When battling 1v1 for 1 hour, you can have 1 representative (Moderator) that is willing to sit in town in your game to ensure the 1 hour period.

This has some good factors.
#1 Can not use the /set easy 1 command (so you have 1-5 monster spawn).
#2 Having more Monster spawn in a wave means more prof point gain.

I think the LS community would probably be a much better place if you never made another suggestion….
