The more I think about this the more I question whether I was wrong in this situation or if the other guy was.
Please note that I am only posting my side of the story and if the other person wishes to add his side or additional remarks he/she may do so.
So “Jack” as I will call the other trader makes a post offering to sell a dagger for 400 fg + fees. I make in thread offer for 400 but I will not pay the additional fee. Jack says ok the next day ok. Then through pm he says he will put in market for 1 fg and I’ll pay him the other 399. I agreed but told him today won’t work because it’s Sunday and I’m with wife most of the day. Monday comes and I’m super busy with work so even though I’m “online and on LS” I’m physically not. Jack messaged me a few times and a few messages on LS which I missed while he was online. Next day he rudely messages me that I’m not answering him if I no longer want to trade and almost calling me BM so I responded my apology, told him that I wasn’t online, and that I’m still interested in the dagger. Few hours later he tells me dagger is in store for 400 take it or don’t. So of course I bought it and when I tried to message him a T4t he blocked me.
So.....am I the a-hole or is Jack?
Please note this is my side of the story would love to here jacks side if different than this.
Also “Jack” if you are reading this: if this trade bothered you so much I will happily sell it back to you at the exact same price I bought it (and unlike you I won’t even cry about the market fee)
I don't really think that anyone has to be the bad guy here?
The common practice is to trade as soon as both are on and he probably saw you online, pm'd you and got ignored. Personally, I would just have assumed that you backed out of the trade at that point and put it back up for sale.
A simple message would have prevented this situtation

You know like...
Hey bud, I won't be able to trade until Thursday, is that cool with you?
Doesn't leave him wondering what is going on and doesn't waste his time trying to reach you. Win-Win
