Isn't this the second event in a row with increased difficulty? Seems asinine to keep doing them over and over again.

i can live with zero events, but now we have to deal with what it is. try easy mode and kill them with powersrike for example. maybe you have too much vitas invested and too low damage. try to upgrade weapon/armor and charm. slow going but you can do it

It is, yes. Difficulty only increases the damage of the mob, afaik though. So you should still be able to kill just as quickly as before. Just need to shrine/regen more.

Better drops though, and more difficult monsters also have higher likelihood of dropping things period.

It's rough, but stick in there, and it could be incredibly helpful.

I would recommend having more than 1 climbing character and to just get them to level 60-65 and await an easier event to finish up.

There are irregularly public groups which climb which you can tag along with.


Lastly bear in mind with increased difficulty is generally an increase in drops, so if you can beat level 30-40 evil presences reasonably easily, this is probably where you should be hunting, having multiple characters if necessary. Could potentially find a 140+ee item worth over 1k.


In my own case, i managed to use a few wells at level 50-60 and filled my vault with about 30 items to be shrined. I had used them all up by level 72, where normally i can solo without really picking any items up for shrining till level 70 or so.
Not surprised to hear you're hurting, can only hope the next one won't be so bad.

I feel like you guys shouldn't be having so much trouble even with gear that isn't great in events like this sub lvl 100... Sure it might not be easy, but why should this game be easy... just because it's simple?

I made it to lvl 143 solo on my magician a few years ago exploring using a 37 int dagger and a 21 int "robe" lol. Remember that some monsters should be killed first and that you can save your ability charges for use at the right moment... don't just blow all your abilities everytime they're ready like you're in a whistle climb

I'm not seeing better drops at all. Though I make all my money off whites atm. So maybe I'm biased. I'm waiting until paladin to spend myself broke again. Maybe at that time I will be geared out to handle this. I went two mqs without dying and on this one I died twice to wild crits.

I'll just bear the storm knowing everyone is having the same hardships 😃

Yes the event mods will apply on the monsters you will just spawn a max of 2 monsters instead of 3

Just as a random piece of advice: If you're having this difficult of a time, definitely go /set easy 1. That'll knock you down to 2 white and 1 ep per spawn. Only works until level 70, but should help you out, if you aren't already using it.
