Alright Im going to keep this short and simple.. Alchemist sucks. Everyone knows its the worst overall class in the game. Sure its a caster which makes it useful in some aspects but lets be real here.

The restriction on putting on weapons is something no other class has. There isnt even another class that is restricted from using 4 items at a time. So here was my though. REMOVE the weapon slot all together for alchemist. Now add in a secondary acc charm slot.

Benefits:
Int/mana/side mod charm in main slot with heal/attack charms in ACC getting the mana reduction.
Regaining a slot of gear to gain the stats that are lost from no weapon will boost the alchy into a respectable and desired class for more than the ability to reset and 2%xp buff.
Soloing alchemist to level 85 actually might not suck
Ability to have 2x elemental charms while also having a heal equipped (Elemental Immune Protection)

Negatives:
The people playing after update will have it easier than previous alchemists (cry harder)

Let me know what you think. All I know is Ive never seen another game where you have to work THIS HARD to unlock the final class only to find its also the worst class the game... the feeder caster is literally better.


Alternatively I think they should have the armor slot restricted too.. let the elements be their sword AND shield :rofl:

Your idea has merit. What about introducing a different item(s):

Wands ... they could be specific Elemental Wands, they don't deal physical damage, they only increase that specific elemental damage. Also, you gain any stat bonuses / mod bonuses that spawn on them.

NOTE: Since I stated increase specific elemental damage, it does not mean an additional 150% enhanced effect, more like the same as Heal Mastery % towards that element.

Rings / Bracelets / Gloves, could also be introduced.

Just a thought.

Id rather stay away from adding even more stuff to the game... The more items/mods you get the harder it becomes to find the ones that matter. Adding 5x elemental masteries caused a noticeable drop in useful spawns because most arcane+ now roll at least one element on it and 99% of the time its a wasted mod.


NN more weapons/armors/charms/mods to ruin drop rates even further.

Completely removed str/dex... Completely useless stats.

There are ways around this, also, if done properly, you would be able to build caster characters with every class.

1. Wand, ring, bracelet & gloves are Specialised items with their OWN specific Mod table.
... Example: because these items aren't used to melee, then you don't have Strength / Dex / Enhanced Effect / Parry Mods
... So, you could introduce Enhanced Effect [Ice / Fire / Lightning / Earth / Wind] (Same % as Heal Mastery)
2. These items can be used on ALL classes (this may seem like it deters from what you are initially intending, but read on)

Now, you could actually create better off class characters with these items as their mods are based around casting. But, at least it can be equipped to an Alchemist.

It needs a lot more work.. I understand your idea, it has points,

Unpopular opinion, but alchemist would already be fine with 20 starting vita
only problem is that it gets tiresome to play same class over and over again
