I had the idea that the amount of times a well can be used should be dependent on the amount of map squares you've explored so far.

E.g you have explored 30 square when you find the well, so the well will take 30 uses.
To not make it too OP there should be a maximum amount as well, like the total of both map sides added together

What does that mean?

level 1 map is 5 by 5
with that change you could well 1 to 10 items in that maze size
level 74 it would be 40 by 25, so 1 to 65 could be welled

In total in would nerf low level well maps a bit, but then again it would give you less frustration when the well poofs afer 1 item when you explored a hugh chunk of a map at higher levels

TL;DR: min amount = explored map squares, max amount = sum of map side length

Personally I think this is too much added coding for such a small benefit.

I would rather wells were tougher to find but would give much better drops/stats than normal mobs....

I have to agree with CARTRACK, at least the first part ( lol ) It's a cool idea, but it seems unnecessarily complicated

It would be easier to just increase the well spawn rate if not in general, then only for bigger mazes or make mazes bigger than "x" have a guaranteed amount of wells in them. OR get a minimum well amount altogether.

I can barely find 2 wells fully exploring a huge maze and only if I'm lucky, often there's 0 - 1

I guess my divining rods are better than yours because I find a well roughly once every 2 days (at lvl 65). Unfortunately, I haven’t received anything decent from a well in ages =(

This could be added as a minimum base no doubt but to nerf the well any more in any situation would be bad.

It would be a buff in some situations and a nerf in many other. Finding a well early on would be a let down and a nerf on an already double nerfed well.

Add it as a base minimum for wells and everyone wins :) .

I also find that wells last longer if I drop items closer to my character level...while dropping tier III - IV tends to insta kill the well
