so starting to track muting in a way i have never done before. id like to track a lot of different things but i do not have the skills or knowledge on how to setup the formulas to give the information i would like out of it. I use quickbooks with my company and am aware very much on the information in dictates information out.

If anyone has these skills and wants to help me i would greatly appreciate it. Not to mention talking over what id like end game with the data may change my needs for variables i am tracking.

What sort of outputs are you hoping to gather data on? I assume your input would be something like: tier, magical level, essence magical level, magicluck, rolled item stats. But what do you desire to try learn?

yeah most of that. im running two spread sheets atm. one for stripping and one for rerolling.
for stripping id like to know essence downgrade %s, role of character level, magic luck, group magic luck, guild only game, item tier, magical tier ( like are arcane more likely to downgrade than angelics inherently or just because more options for arcane )

with rerolling im tracking all of the above data as well as essences magical tier, downgrade in tiers ( i dont normal mismatch essence and item magical tiers), magical luck influence, also tracking individual mod rolls using the number of the tier they fall in for example 137 ee would be a 7 as it falls in the 121-140 ee of a tier 7 max,

Just a thought, but have you considered using Google Sheets? Real time collaboration on help with formulas and such (though probably won't be as powerful as some of the analytics tools/add-ons for Excel.) And not sure if you'd want others you trust to hop in with data collection, but you could more quickly gather data that way as well. Sounds like a huge undertaking!

muting at the level i do there are only so many people. i feel hundreds of data points a day will give me enough sample size. i could always port them later. but for now i just need help with the formulas to give me the data id be interested in.

id really like to have a recently sold item thing going community wise where we can input pricing on items to help with a better price checking system.
