Well I decided to see how the HC community lived and how they play the game. So far I have only seen one person:

Didnt catch his name but vn and helped me learn some about hc and for that thank you.....didnt know you needed 2 vaults.

So far stuff is not terribly expensive. Only have 30fg so I am "on a budget", got axe for 4fg and armor for 1fg. Found the rest.

I was proud that i was able to complete the maze with no help but I am lost on why people play hc exclusively? I had fun doing maze on my own but isnt it lonely?

I am sure there are a few groups of people that run together but how do you get new members to your "group"? i will never be a full time hc player but just trying to learn about your niche and plan to keep 1 hc toon for fun. I guess the questions I have are:

Do you run from Ambush?
Do you schedule breaks?
What are the rules if u need to answer the door/bathroom/phone?
If someone goes to town for gear does everyone wait?
Do you have to be on Vent for hc?

There is a chance that I might encounter a group on my hc climb and would just like to know some of the rules or guidelines.

hc is the only reason to play ls
godmode is only fun for like 5 minutes

Because of people thinking they are the greatest thing in this world. And you don't get to join their groups, because new players are bad to them. You should hear what is said on their vents.

HC isn't too bad gear-wise until about level 35... that's when it gets shitty

the guy you encountered was matty... he is possibly the genuinely nicest person on hardcore, the rest of us are all dicks.

Do you run from Ambush?
depends on the group, if its a speed climb you will usually find a well, then stay in the black and not do any quests other than maze

Do you schedule breaks?
if someone needs a break longer than 5-10 minutes, it is usually discussed before-hand

What are the rules if u need to answer the door/bathroom/phone?
just fade into town and tell them an ETA

If someone goes to town for gear does everyone wait?
depends if you are looking for quests / exploring. if it is the tanker then you will wait for him if you are exploring.

Do you have to be on Vent for hc?
vents are usually specific to guilds / friends. most of the time players are on vent with atleast 1 or more of their climb partners.

We did Ambush, i figured out protocol on shrining and took a leak b/4 i joined group :).....

I will say this about hc players I have met so far....VERY NICE and go out of their way to help new players. I dont think I paid more than 1fg for anything on this char http://forums.d2jsp.org/user.php?c=3&i=552908&p=408668 as the members of my "group" kept giving me deals. Wish I could remember their names but i cant and for that I am sorry.

Thanks for info K.impact I hope more people join u guys on hc. I think the fear of the unknown keeps most of us out but if everyone behaves like the group I was in HC will continue to grow. GL to all.

Thanks for the PM on the members of my group last night. Very nice guys and very supportive and helpful of new players. Still cant believe we did ambush. Thanks again for everything and hope to climb with you guys soon.
