In the last update, we were introduced to ratios for the weapons. Caused massive changing around of gear sets for most of us. Now I'm wondering why charms don't have ratios. It stands to reason that they should have them too. Perhaps int/vit ratio. That would make +vit actually do something on gear. Before you go and say, "what about mana pools..boo hoo boo hoo...etc.", With something like vit being a ratio, you can just swap your int gear for vit gear....we melee had to do the same thing. Stat int and use plus vita gear, or use the shrine more often if you must. Besides with larger life pools you will be more formidable.

Only makes sense that charms get a ratio too.

What do you guys think?

I didn't say I like the idea. Hell, I hate the ratio thing, it's bs. However, it's there and not leaving. I don't have the intestinal fortitude like you do and my good buddy Nick does to do something that dramatic. http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=48820109&f=273

As you can see, other people feel the same way. Just stands to reason that if melee has ratios to hit, then casters should have the same.

edit: I mean casters already do more damage, have less gear sets to get and can cast on every class and to top it off they level a lot faster than melee do.

I wouldn't think that Paul would introduce ratios at all. All those people that spent a ton of real life money for fg to buy top end gear got screwed when he did that. Makes no sense to "bite the hand that feeds you", but he did it and I don't think he'd have qualms about adding a casting ratio. This makes sense to do, where melee multi critting doesn't. Having a ratio for casting effectiveness is just the same as having a ratio for melee. There is no difference.

oh no no, I'm not asking if it "should" be implemented. I think it is going to be implemented because it only makes sense that if melee is subjected to this, then casters will be too.

If this topic was made before ratios came out at all about melee, it would of had everyone shooting it down(me included). As said above, I don't like the idea at all, I think it's something that we're going to see happen. It's only fair and logical that it will be introduced.

i actually liek this idea give more of a aspect to the caster rule i was casting all classes b4 this update and when alot of people started casting i went melee and i like melee alot more now miss my HH

did you think arena would be removed? I know paul wants it to be a multiplayer game and has stated it multiple times but I never thought he would take out arena, so you cant really say you dont think it can happen. Anything can happen in this game!

Yes, its true. Anything can happen to this game. Only paul knows the direction in which he wants the game to go.

Although, if this were to be implemented, i feel it would only further cripple the community and the growth of ladder slasher.
