i use

axes w/ ee
chains w/ ee
and dex charms

i cata for lvls, but occationally i solo to increase my profs or if there are no catas available and i do wells just to test myself. i havent gone above lvl 40 yet, im just building profs and getting some experience in the game. i just wana know if i should use dex armr or ee armr.

what do you think?? take into consideration that i have a very tight budget!

If you're on a budget I'd say that you would get more for your fg if you invested in EE armour. It's really just about preference though; try both ways

First of all, I'd use a str charm if you're using axes over dex ones.

And for catas, tank barbs are always welcome, so try to get ee armors (plates, but chain mails work fine too).

Does not matter, at all. Crits are just as beneficial with axes as they are with any other weapon.

It was a personal opinion, I've tried both setups, and I prefer the higher constant damage rather than less normal damage with some slightly higher crits.

This is why hybrid is my favorite build on plate-wearing characters.

Slap on as many stats as you can and heal when life is low.

To answer your question though, you'll be fine in the arena with an ee armor...but I think wearing a dex charm and dex armor would give you a pretty random killing speed since you would be relying on crits much more.

Either Str armor or EE armor imo.

NevV is correct. On a tight budget EE armor will get you farther for sure.

Hell even on an ok budget EE armor will get you farther. Only the rich can use pure stats to beat out the tank armors.

Also something to consider when building professions - If you have high stats you can kill faster, but more downtime regening. If you kill slightly slower with a tank armor, you can get more hits in between regening. Of course if you are too slow professions do cap at +10 points per solo kill.

For solo EE armor and when i use axes it's pure str for more constant damage imho
