I've been thinking about getting a elemental charm to handle sneaky when doing high level maps. I currently only have melee gear otherwise. Does anybody have experience on how long he takes to kill on a non caster character using a caster charm?

Also, will he also have immunity to specific elements, depending on which monster he is, plus his usual physical immunity?

if you not goin ofcast at least its not worth. at higher lvl he will have a lot healt and you lack of int will do shit dmg to him

I think there is an element resist factor depending on the monster it spawns as but not very relevant. With all 3 casting pieces as a melee char ull run out of mana extremely quickly so it will take u a long time, maybe an hour of constant regen and swapping back and forth. MIght as well just level up 2nd casting char and ask someone to hold game.

The name is soften the sneaky shell so I do hope one day melee is allowed to soften it .

It’s much faster to ask a kind soul to kill him for you.

Depends on how much patience you have.

I have done it, however nowadays I go minimum base 30 Intelligence even on my Barb and so on... but this is for Solo and healing, not casting vs Sneaky... I prefer to ignore it altogether since update where it will spawn, and you exit game and recreate game and that objective doesn't appear again... what is the point of X points to vitality if you are level 55+ killing of sneaky... pointless.

Oh, as I stated, I used to do this, it worked, however it took a long time to kill, even though regen mana in town is faster than regen your hit points, thus you enter catacomb more frequently.

Test it for yourself, see if it is worth it, also, you don't need a person to enter game and kill it off for you at like level 55+, the rewards is pointless, you should get this objective done by level 20 minimum to reap the rewards.

With good gear, mana int piece or mana glyph + fish i usually do it myself. On headhunter it sux a bit but i have done that as well

I used to do it when soloing as meele char.
As pure meele and without ee charm it took 10-20 min.

I was skilling on the side so I did not mind the time but it takes a while.

If you have mana regen gear and somewhat decent ee charm it would probably take around 10 minutes still, fish will speed it up considerably of course.

Not worth the effort imo. Better off resetting the map and carrying on and losing the quest or just ask a few of the discords to get someone else to kill it

So I can avoid spawning the quest on my map items by first spawning the quest and abandoning it once I found him in the regular catacombs? I thought the dude would just follow me around forever. Good to know

The only issue is that you can't disband groups without losing your map.
So you will have to run a narrow level range group with guild only ideally but it is still annoying for some (like me) to do that if you just want some chill solo climbing.
