I remember October 13 2013 clearly. I had just completed a series of 3 climbs back to back with David, and had just passed and achieved my very first Monk on my main on the last climb.
After that last climb with David, he said he was running late and had to run to meet up with/pick up their child but would be back shortly. a few short hours later, while late to return for a climb; ( I cannot recall whom) but someone text his phone and we then all got the unfortunate news.
Its been coming up to 10 years (in just a few short days), and i STILL see how much of an impact he had and has made in our LS community. He and I would talk and chat daily, outside of LS. he was a very humble and amazing person, who was always there to help with anything. (or at least from how i knew him).
I hope you continue to RIP Buf, knowing how much you've impacted a lot of us.
In leu of his death, BUFCORE lives on, with some whom are still around to recognize and remember
