Not to my knowledge it does.
Only way it could be confirmed it does I guess if a fish is caught over the maximum life or mana for that tier.

Well, not really. Have you ever seen a perfect stat lvl 55 unique? It could just be that the odds of getting it are so low, it will never happen.

Someone should have seen a tier 1 at least

There are many orders of magnitude in the difference between the statistical likelihood of a single overspawn fish of any tier vs rolling a perfect XIV unique. It is not a rational argument.



This. I've spawned thousands of overspawn items myself. Indeed if they were possible it would have both happened and been noticed by now.

Plenty of people have fished decent sample sizes with and w/o Magic Luck at various points in LS history. Nobody ever found notable differences in the average stats or tier.

The backed code could be changed at any time but so far the only change in fish stats has been when the max per tier was doubled from 25 to 50

I get tier 1 overspawns constantly when wearing magic luck. Fish would not be as common but tier 1 overspawn fish would have showed up quite quickly as well with magic luck gear on. Yup yup

We even got overspawn rods already, but no overspawn fish

And fish happen a little more often than rods
