https://prnt.sc/1OjGe5E15Fdu

The Printscreen shows during a 1006 disconnect, there was also a 4002 disconnect.

Has anyone had this before of have an understanding of how this happened?

I was just about to kill off a monster in catacomb when this happened, and I had to click "Log in as izParagonzi" to get back into the game (it did NOT AUTO create the game I was in previously).

Killed off the monster and took the Prntscreen using Lightshot and posted here.

EDIT: forgot to add a poll... the options are only "Add" "New" or "New Poll" ... this use to be simple in adding a poll during the time of the Original Post.

Thus: "Has this Happened to you before?"

Yes
No
WTF is going on now?

Perhaps something should be done about it then.

It's been happening for years.
There's nothing Paul can do about it allegedly.
A lot of people have complained about it already.
Either quit playing or just suck it up is all we can do.

I've recently returned to the game so i wasn't aware that it's the way things are. Sucks.

I am not talking about the 1006 disconnects, I am referring to the 4002 disconnect DURING the 1006 disconnect.

With a 1006 Disconnect, you will end up in Town, HOWEVER, the 4002 disconnect meant I HAD to "Re-connect" from the Log in page ... (had to press the button ... "Log in as izPargonzi" as if I had originally logged out.

Not talking about that... I am talking about the 4002.

Again... talking about the 4002 during the 1006

Again talking about the 4002 disconnect during the 1006 disconnect.
___________

Thanks for your opinions based on the 1006 disconnects that appear frequently... shit, I leave my game open on my PC and have like 3-15 times 1006 disconnects during 24 to 120 hours not playing, but being online... and during that time period, I got a 1006 disconnect and a 4002 disconnect DURING the 1006 disconnect.

NOTE: 4000 disconnect actually means you LOGGED OUT on your side.

Please re-read this post, as it will reveal issues you MAY have or NOT encountered. THANKS

mac? windows? what operating system? windows 10? 11? what browser do you use? and do you have auto updates enabled?

the cause for a 4002 error code in the simplest terms i can put it.

When you open software, it performs update checks for newer versions of the program data. The error you are having is because there is something wrong with your Internet connection or the firewall which in this case blocks the communication between your software and the update servers. Acting very similar to a VPN. (which jsp servers absolutely hate).

Another reason is that the servers which software is trying to connect to are unconnectable or are undergoing maintenance problems, which in this case you should try and start the application a bit later.

clear your cache and cookies out.
run a disk cleanup
defragment

reboot between each step

this could also be triggered by a failing port on your modem or router or failing wireless adapter.

e/ an old post of mine about 1006 and 1001 disconnects as well; with a guide on how to set your "wired" network adapter.. https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=96131241&f=272&o=0

Thanks for the info... I am going to put it down to the "Wireless Adaptor", since it is roughly 11 years old. As for clearing cache / cookies, I won't be doing that since a lot of my passwords which are saved, I have forgotten them, and if I reset some of them, the old email address is no longer valid since I lost the password(s) to them like 5 years ago and can not restart them. Hence why I can not use *** anymore. :D

But thanks again, I will have to just live with this issue and was thinking others may have had the same happen, so this will help them also.

if you use google chrome and you have sync enabled, you can go to the 3 dots upper right corner. select "settings". select "autofill & passwords" and then "password manager". from there you can click on each site you have a saved password or autofill information for, and view it by selecting each site/ saved entry, and then select the icon that looks like an eye. it will show your passwords.

from there you can write everything down, or copy everything to a word document, to have a hard copy just in case. but dont forget.. should you update the password, you need to update it in the word document.

if your wireless adapter is 11 years old, i wouldnt necessarily say that is the culprit, but it may be. it may also be that you are nearing the edge of your wireless range and it is dropping packets. id suggest, if it is a pc, to try and go hard wired to your modem.. youll see a dramatic difference in speed and stability. if it is an add on wireless card in your pc, maybe purchase a new one? and install it to see if that resolves any issue? how old is your modem? the wireless in it may be starting to go as well?
