these days should be quite easy to switch regions, game takes 20 minutes from start to finish so lag should not be that much of a deterrent, let me know if I can change your mind/help with switching regions.

I'm on steam, so it's a pain. They really need to fix it so steam players can do it as easily as bnet. I hadn't planned on getting it on steam but it was a gift XD

I agree, going to a directory and changing parameters in a shortcut instead of a simple dropdown is just poor planning on their part, hope it gets changed soon

Go to your local D2R installation folder (.../Diablo II Resurrected/d2r.exe).
Right-click the .exe file and create (3) shortcut to your desktop.
Rename them Asia, Eu, Americas
Right-click the new shortcut, select Properties, and add the desired region command at the very end of the Target field (outside of the quotes).
"... .exe" -address ...
Americas: -address us.actual.battle.net
Europe: -address eu.actual.battle.net
Asia: -address kr.actual.battle.net
Close the window and launch the game.
