Yeah, random question. But I've decided to redownload and get back into the game.
Do I need to download the original client from the official homepage first, and then the Final Frontiers Client?
Or would I be okay with just downloading the Final Frontiers Client?

just download the game from any of the mirrors on the website and you should be fine.
