Cleaning my house tonight and I had a huge bag of lemons I need to use

so I think Ill just cut all the lemons in half and start cleaning using them, thinking I was being smart and using less chemicals in my kitchen
I cleaned up the whole place perfectly


I move onto the living room and then come back into the kitchen to find everything being a sticky mess


After a quick google, im not alone in doing this... why did I think lemons would be good to clean with?
I think its from all of the lemon scented cleaners Ive used over the years
