Ameriga, huh. Land of the free. Land of the paradox.
I take comfort in the fact that there are equally many norwegians there as here. Minnesota, iowa, north dakota. Not gonna learn all the states and presidents, but i learned that much. So we are allies, can't get around that. Like petrozza in hell's kitchen; "Alright guys, we are one, we are one!" ^^
Nah i guess it's the same everywhere, a rate of good/neutral/bad. There are things i like and dislike with it, as with most things in life. They made fear and loathing in las vegas, so that's good. Where the buffalo roam, as well.
A bit worried about yellowstone though, kind of crazy to think it's 6-700 000 years between eruptions historically, and that's the amount of time it's been now. Yet it shows little signs of erupting. I think everyone should start planning their lives more around such things. We're lucky here in norway, nothing like that, we get some wind along the coast and a few mudslides (rissa, gjerdrum) but nothing major. Italy has it worse, campi flegri is put on yellow alert.
There's even been a tv program with amerigans coming here researching norwegian ties. Damn, it's actually on youtube in full, with subtiltles ^^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc-sAOngWjE&list=PLv_MKzjpzRgXchaG82rWnskRjK8K9ewsV
Well, that's m(a)y ^^ contribution to may 4th. Norwegian constitutional day is 17th, so it's not far off. Not sure what i'm gonna do. It's kind of ironic how i am quite nationalistic, patriotic and have strong opinions on politics, yet i don't go out and sing the national anthem or do anything else on that day ^^ Psychology is a weird thing. Or maybe i'm just stupid and lazy.
