Though, living within earshot of coyotes while living in Vancouver was no walk in the park. I cannot imagine going for a walk in a Florida city or town and seeing alligators hanging about. They have an exceptional bite along with that powerful body twist once they grab hold is insane!

I don’t have to imagine. I have gators behind my house. The neighborhood kids throw rocks at them.

They arent all THAT common.

You just wanna live closer to the surf anyways.

Used to go to Florida 2 - 3 times a year.

No way! Hah! I hope that they are not the huge gators. Do you also have a huge number of iguanas. Family and I have watched those vids of people going out with air rifles to keep the iguana population down.

I haven’t seen one around the house bigger than 6-7 ft. I live in rural area in the panhandle. The real big ones you’re not gonna see unless you go down to a river. That’s if you’re lucky because people hunt them. South Florida might as well be a different state to me. They have crocodiles in the Everglades too. If the water ain’t clear I’m not swimming in it.

Nah I haven’t seen any iguanas around here. That probably issues in south florida.

All things considered gators really arent all that dangerous to people unprovoked. Im living in Florida now and haven't seen one out in the wild yet but I imagine I will. I'd imagine they are more of a danger to pets than they are to people.

I too live in the panhandle.

Get too cold on this side for iguana population to take off.

Why would you choose to live in a place like that?
