There’s plenty of evidence that it’s very lethal just like drugs. Millions of people have died from overdoses. Social media is not up there yet in terms of deaths, but it’s climbing (suicides). But that’s because SM is still relatively new, while hard drugs have been around for many generations. It’s time to address this. If I had kids, I would not allow them smartphones until they’re adults, and I’d drill it into their minds at a very young age about how dangerously addictive it is so they will develop a healthy fear for it that will stick with them long after they become adults.
