Even as the cat person that I am, I do need to acknowledge the fact that if I died and had one or more cats that I was caring for, they may, if enough time passes, see my dead corpse as a meal source.

I would believe that about dogs. They are incredibly loyal beings. So many heart wrenching stories of military dogs who lose the soldier that they are assigned to.
