When "they" Disneyfied my favourite antihero Superhero The Hulk, I have not been able to watch that abomination which is a fused Banner with Hulk. Sheesh. So, if "they" move away from a far too playful Spider-Man towards one which struggles with a huge list of hardships and reality, then count me in.

I would have preferred this over the venom movies that we got.

Venom was solely fun and had nothing to do with the legacy of Venom. I only watched them to laugh at the silly humour. Not serious films at all.
They even did a bad take on Doctor Strange. I wish that the writers and everyone went back to when Doctor Strange and Clea were in conflict with the dark and light arts and when their battles with exceptionally imaginative otherworldly beings were breathtaking. I had all of their comics until I had to move and gave them to an equally as passionate reader.

idk about the strange stuff, but that's what I didn't like about the venom films; the comedy. I feel like it would have been better if it was straight serious action. I also dislike that a lot of these movies are never Rated R anymore. Logan was awesome for doing it, but all the rest are only PG-13 or PG. Some of these movies need to be brutal. Venom should have been an R.

Spiderman on the other hand was always more lighthearted tho isnt it? Dark version of spiderman would be kinda out of place

I swear Venom has more comedy than Spiderman does. Or maybe it's just more noticeable since it's more out of place. But yeah, I thought when the first Venom movie came out it was going to be a brutal movie. Not so much, though.

Such a pity cuz they got a solid actor to play as Brock but they made Venom’s personality goofy and cracking jokes and shit
