I <3 dogs, but no thanks. Wayyy too much maintenance and too much barking. Screw that. Get a cat. They don't bark and vocally whine and shit like a dog does. They don't have to be taken outside like a dog does... The only major pluses with dogs are their personalities and ability to be cuddled.

Yeah, much more likely to get a cat but also depends on the breed of the dog.
