tl;dr Was just about to purchase a clearance priced item, but cancelled out of it. Then, the company sent me a discount code. I then purchased the item at its clearance price and with the discount code.

The longer version:
I spotted a desk on a clearance sale. Well, that hit me in the "if you are not spending, you are not saving" part of my ageing brain. But, that is not what this is about. After making an account on Wayfair, I entered everything which is needed to finalize a purchase. Yet, at the very end, just before making the payment, I deleted what was in the cart. In no time at all, Wayfair sent me a 10% off discount code to continue my clearance sale purchase. No way! Yes way! I am not sure if you all knew that. But, if you are shopping online, there may be shops where you may get a lower price if you cancel what's in your cart at the very end and if their algorithms have a way to send you an email with a discount code.

Okay. Forgive my dear diary entry.

That's a pretty cool hack that you found there. I've never even heard of wayfair. I'll have to check it out

I think I got pummeled with their adverts while watching some tv. So, I looked on their site for a desk. Great prices for furniture. And, their clearance prices for useful furniture are affordable. I have been using a fold out table for a desk and the clamp from the monitor stand has destroyed the malleable plastic table top. Time to upgrade. Have an awesome weekend!
