Thinking of visiting Area 51, please, take a moment to witness what does happen to people who do.
As far as I can tell, Area 51 and its surrounding lands are used for testing new experimental aircraft and/or their parts, e.g., new engine designs, armaments, etc... It's highly guarded and unless you are a part of their research or some vetted delivery peep, please, do not go too close.
