A small group of three elderly folk have been buying one or more lottery tickets together for years.
Recently, one of their group ticket(s) won a free ticket. The 70 yr old who is responsible for holding and checking the tickets kept the free ticket which he kept from the others. That free ticket won a million dollars. He kept the money.

After a criminal forensic examination, it was deemed that the winnings did belong to all three in the group.

It's going to court.

In the Philippines for example, all of the politicians are corrupt. The normal everyday citizens say they wouldn't be corrupt and would be one of the good guys. As soon as they have a bit of power, yup, they become corrupt too.

I agree. It is troubling. When we are making ends meet, there is this part of us that pushes us to think or to worry if our neighbours have the basics. If their children are not going to school hungry. Yet, there is this wealth/power line which once crossed we selectively forget others except for those who can make us more powerful and more wealthy. Human nature is a troubling thang.
