I have a limited scope of all of the coding languages. So, if you have one that you like and it is not listed, go for it!
I'd probably choose C#, as I am somewhat comfortable with that language.

I've been thinking about this lately, that what if we're living in a simulation.

What if we're all god? What if every person has our own personalities and free will and stuff, but when we die, we'll rejoin the consciousness of the deity that runs the simulation and all our memories and stuff will be intact so we get to live on, in a sense.

It's funny how not long ago I read something like, "Science says we are not living in a simuation, because we found evidence of this or that.". It's like come on, if we were in a simulation, do you really think we'd be smart enough to figure it out and beat the system? That would be a bad simulation if it were that simple to figure out. If we were in a simulation, there's no reason why they couldn't design it to look completely organic to us and there would be no way for us to figure it out. I mean what are we going to do, travel to the edge of the universe?

Reminds me of the movie the thirteenth floor. Great movie if you haven't seen it.

Not sure we can place any blame on scientists and their opinions as they are, like you and me, human.
Science as a body of knowledge may not be invested in what we feel or wish to be true.
Same goes for religions. If there are Gods, Goddesses, and/or energy beings of any sort, I do not think that they are affected by what our species thinks or hopes for.
Mind you, I know mostly about how yummy peanut butter is. So, do not quote me on anything I say. I will plead the peanut butter equivalent of the 5th amendment.

HeyMan3, if wishes could come true, I would love to see an edge of the universe. To see what it looks like. But, wishes are funny little things.

I think the problem is that these scientists lately have produced a lot of click bait headlines. They try to stay relevant and post a lot of nonsense just to get views. It's losing its meaning when every week they post something just for the sake of it. They don't have much information to go one, one little test or something, and they run with it.

The edge of the universe is interesting since it's allegedly expanding faster than the speed of light, so it would be theoretically impossible to ever see the edge.

What I don't understand is how did the big bang actually happen? Of course we never know.. but like, for these things to collide into each other, does it mean that these particles or whatever simply always existed? or did they suddenly appear from nothing, in a nothinginess void? Thinking about what was there before our universe is something we simply can't grasp and our brains just can't handle it. It was before time itself was created, so how could you possibly imagine that.

Those are conversations for when friends gather at a pub that serves chicken wings and cold ales.
