I got this fairly old cheap e blue mechanical keyboard from Amazon and it feel like I am using a typewriter from 200 years ago.
But it still works really well even after years of abuse especially elden ring I did a couple of years back, any normal keyboard would of died by now. (Thank you sweet baby cheeses for mechanical keyboards)

Anyways, my only gripe with it its fairly loud and clicky like most mechanical keyboards usually are. I've come to conclusion that I would like to make it or swap it for something quieter.

My question would be is there a way to make it quieter by swapping keys or do I need to get a new one and if so what recommendations would you suggest?

Some criteria
Need the most basic functional keyboard that is as silent as possible.
I dont need rgb lights or customisable keys or any fancy bullshit
If it comes with it fine but prefer without.
Preferably cheap
No gay keyboards

Just pretend your a ghost from 200 years typing on a typewriter that it cannot depart from. Problem solved

It's probably blue clicky switches. Some keyboards you can swap switches would depend on the model though. Changing the keycaps would probably not help if it's a clicky switch

You can get a switch tester to try them all out. But prolly not worth the money unless you are looking to spend a decent amount on a keyboard. There are also tons of videos on YouTube of what each one sounds like. Honestly most sound the same to me I don't understand high end keyboard people
