Yes, in February 2006, Dick Cheney accidentally shot his friend and fellow hunter, Harry Whittington, during a quail hunt in Texas. Whittington was hit in the face, neck, and torso with birdshot from Cheney's shotgun. The incident resulted in Whittington's hospitalization, and he suffered a mild heart attack, among other injuries, but Cheney took full responsibility.
