Deer season is coming soon and as usual I’m excited. I hunt every year and fish all year long (meat purposes). I can’t wait to stock my freezer and make some venison chili.

Do you guys hunt or fish? Do you do it for food or fun?

Bow season started yesterday here.

I liked to fish when I was living in Alaska, lots of great opportunities out there. I never got into hunting, I can’t bring myself to take down a large animal like that. I’m too much of a softy. The only way I could do something like that is if I absolutely had to do it haha.

I understand how that may sound odd because a fish is still dying and all that, but it’s different to me!

Doesn’t sound odd. A lot of people feel that way. Although I will state that if you eat meat it’s 1000x more human than what they do to those creatures on mass production farms.

Yeah, i know.. I can’t argue that at all. Pretty messed up but I try to not think about it.

Same. I can’t give up meat so it’s pointless to dwell on it lol.

Went hunting once in college, with my room mate. Didnt see anything

Been fishing several times, not so much recently but much rather be on boat as opposed to fishing off the bank.

I don’t mind fishing either way but we use a boat mostly unless on our property.
