Many lifetimes ago and while living in a small town North of the city, it took us a long bus ride, then a train ride, and, finally, a twenty minute walk to the college campus. All in all, it took about 2hrs and 45 minutes if the train was not late. So, more than 5 hours a day just in travel time. It was far too long.

Needed to bicycle for 4,5 hours every day to work.
When do so, only 40coins per week for food and smokes.
So i did the dishes at the local restaurant for 50%minimum wage at 3AM for food/weed.

When do so, boss payed to less the contract forced him to do.
Needed to give the company keys when i talked to them about it
And the scammed me 1.5month of salary, knowing i could not pay for a lwyer

Needed 3hours of travel everyday with public transport. India stile, packed in train with 50 people per 1m2
When a car drive was only 15min*2

Coworker/boss lived in the same street as me, but refused to give me a lift, even when i wanted to pay him 10coins everyday and take public transport if he have something else to do.

Took about 3.5 bananas and 2 hours to get to work one day. Was in a blizzard, couldn’t see anything 5 feet in front of me so I peeled the bananas, and wrapped the peels around a stick and set fire to it. Kept me warm and illuminated my path.. thank you banana, you saved my life countless times!
