I am not a jewelry nor watch person. Kind of a plain human being am I.
With that in mind, this backstory of creating demand through controlling supply is a story of deception.
It's not so much jealousy. It is more like being troubled by wealthy folk/organizations deceiving working class and working poor folk that something like a diamond is worth half a year's or more of their salary.
Sorry for the mini rant. But, c'est la vie (that is life for ya).
