The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), or "Mother of All Bombs," is a U.S. military, GPS-guided, thermobaric weapon and the largest non-nuclear bomb ever used in combat. Weighing over 21,000 pounds, the MOAB detonates in the air to create a powerful, wide-area blast wave designed to destroy targets in tunnels or bunkers, like the ISIS caves it was used against in Afghanistan in 2017.
