Just curious how GC feels about AI

I enjoy chatgpt, I've learned some python,music production, Japanese etc. with it's help, it's a tool so you need to understand how to use it properly
Of course a hammer is a shitty tool if you try to use it as a screawdriver

It's a good tool if you use it properly.

I work in the corporate world and people have been using it as a crutch lately. They can't write a damn email without using it, and they're the most AI written emails in existence

I absolutely hate AI and hate how it's basically being forced down our throats at every turn.

I'll admit it has it's uses sometimes, like my Leasing Staff uses chatgpt often for writing emails. However I see that as a negative because now they never have to learn how to talk to send a proper email or how to explain things to people. They just have a computer do all the work for them.

Also AI gets information wrong all the time. Obviously that -might- change in the future to be more accurate, but so far isn't reliable.


The company I work for unfortunately utilizes AI in the use of a call center. Put a bunch of people out of a job just so this AI program can constantly give wrong information or do the wrong things in the system to current and future residents and maintenance.

i basically just use it for tldrs like taurean posts for example.

what annoys me are emails and comments that are 100% ai generated. first case is disrespectful and second case pathetic, just my opinion of course.
