If youre in Canada soon it will be, but if you dont file your own they will fuck you every step of the way. Theres so many deductions and credits available that the govt has no way of knowing without your submission.
If you live a basic bitch existence with a single T4 and dont own a house or anything and dont invest or contribute to RRSPs or TFSAs or whatever the fuck else, yeah automated will be good for you. But legit would take all of 30 seconds to submit with TurboTax anyways.

my rrsp contributions (both payroll deduction @ work and lump sum into investment accounts) were both reported by financial institution and imported automatically by CRA

only hard part of my taxes was seeing if my employer would stupidly provide a t2200 (sadly not)

it should def be automated. fuck all that
