When you play a Pokemon game and you're battling a trainer, and your Pokemon does heavy damage that leaves the opponents Pokemon with 1 HP and then your opponents Pokemon K.O.'s your Pokemon with just one move. And don't get me started on the constant use of Sand Attack or Full Restores.

Do people still play Pokemon Go in 2023? Is it still very popular like it used to be when it first came out?

Yup still alot of people play I used to play but have taken a break since my wife steals my phone and I can't play.....

Do they charge a small monthly fee to play or is it all free?

All free, there is price packs for events and stuff usally it's like 2-3$ I think somewhere around there don't need to do it but you get access to some bonus stuff like extra items pokeballs Candy's sometime a Pokemon but you can catch them at a later day or trade.
