This perspective he is talking about in this situation has nothing to do with your view on this plain, but of the dome - that you are not seeing the entire dome just part of it, and its a side view to show you an example not an actual 3 d perspective view. The shuttle pushes off gas that it itself produces. Please don't tell me you don't believe in Newton's three laws either. That stuff is so trivial to show, and we experience it all the time.
Do you believe that guns have recoil? If you were to fire a gun in vacuum, would you still experience recoil?

Please don't strawman me and just answer my question. When looking towards the sea, it's possible for the sun to be partly below and partly above the horizon. At least, from the viewer's perspective. What causes us to see it that way?
