I should have known better than to call it a sphere. Of course it's a spheroid and not a sphere. None of your arguments make sense, since:
1. "spheres are known to be poor reflectors of light" is a statement for which I have never seen any backing proof/evidence. Spheres exist in all colors -- including bright colors -- so this statement is probably not correct.
2. The moon is not a perfect sphere, which is why the clinical term is spheroid. Its terrain contains hills and craters that are perfectly visible from Earth.
