But why? That's what I'm trying to figure out. You know there are other places of the internet where there's always a different topic and people will actually reply back to you fairly quickly right?

What are these other places of the internet that you speak of? I would love to visit them. Just like you, I remember the good ole days of the net, circa 2000s. Have you heard of the Temple of the screaming electron? And there were a handful other sites, too, where people actually exchanged ideas.
Of course it will never be like the old days. The whole internet is different from the old days.
I have a feeling that you are about my generation or maybe a few years younger. may I ask you how old you are sir? Me, I am 46. Turning 47 this summer.
