From The Journal of the American Medical Association

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/188840

If you're obese, then your arteries are likely a ticking time bomb. Obviously older age groups are at a higher risk for strokes and heart attacks, but no point in pretending it never happens to people under 40, or that they're not setting themselves up for it in the future. I actually have a colleague whose brother recently died of a heart attack, and he was in his late 20s

Oh shit bruno got him

Skipped dinner since tuesday
Chicken breast and chicken sausage for breakfast
Whatever the workplace has to offer for lunch
Hungry but feels good

Yeah boy.
Stay in a calorie deficit.
This tool provides a number of calories in the ballpark you should eat each day relative to y our daily activity.
https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html

The body burns 1,200 and 2,000 calories per day doing nothing.
So that's always an advantage you have.

Yea, this is good to use as a baseline, the most popular calorie/macro tracking apps will also incorporate tdee calculators like these to set targets. As you go you will want to measure weight regularly to and adjust calorie intake based on results if needed

Not really necessary to skip meals, but some people do have success with intermittent fasting. Idk what your diet is like but I would eliminate low hanging fruit like ultra-processed snack foods/desserts and sweetened drinks if applicable. Also download an app that you can log your food and track calories/macros in if you're serious

Perhaps

Unfortunately obesity can impact mood negatively through a variety of mechanisms, both biological and psychosocial. Many reasons to remember to watch your weight, CVD is just one of them!

That calculator says my bmr js 1700 that’s off it’s more like 21-2200.

I burn around 3500 average day. Easy to break 4k if I exercise after work.
On Wednesday I ran a mile and a half with 60lbs of concrete on my shoulders, moving a total of 1800lbs behind a house to pour some footings. I moved the concrete 3x that day

I’m trying to gain some weight but it’s so hard. I take a mass gainer for brekkie then eat big lunch +protein shake then big dinner and more protein shake. Also eat lots of cake and ice cream.
