If light travels in a straight line then the 2d view being equivilant to the 3d is inescapable.

We see usimg two 2d cameras (our eyes) the only reason we can perceive depth at all is with both eyes.

Awww man, you inb4'd me. I was gonna ask how come people with only one eye can't see a sun set on his flat earth.

That's because it's true that the 2D side view representation is accurate to reality. Geometry is geometry. Changing distance over a flat plane does not change the angle to less than zero. It's mathematically not possible. No matter how many times you spew "optical perspective," you are utterly incapable of presenting it in a scientific manner, one which is unfalsifiable. Do you know what unfalsifiability is? Because it's super important to the discussion. You don't get to use the "law of perspective and convergence" as a legitimate proof because you have NEVER explained it with math or in a falsifiable manner.

yes 2d side views are reality, 3d is you optical view of that perspective. 2d side views do not account for perspective , and that is why you think the earth is a ball because you are fooled into thinking it does. Its not your fault your were taught to think stupid, it was designed that way. This is why we are still in the dark ages, because you are taught lies, not truth or understanding.

A person with one eye (or even a person with one eye closed) sees in 2D. Explain the sunset now.

A 4d hyper cube when viewed from a parallel perspective appears to be a 3d cube, when a 3d cube viewed from any parallel side it appears to be a 2d square, and a 2d square when viewed from a parallel axis appears to be a line segment, and a line segment when viewed parallel at either end appears to be a 1d point.
And this only the tip of the ice berg... err icewall.

If you don't understand the math behind these perspectives, you have no place talking about dimensions or perspectives.

Light travels in a straight line.

2d views accurately describe a 3d perspective because the light travels in a straight line in both scenarios.
