Thats fine. But now according to you both of us can't prove our theories so what makes your's more plausible?
Lets take perspective explaining the "sunset" effect people see as an example.
Chivas now states that water in the atmosphere causes magnification which makes the sun appear the same size as it moves further away from use towards the evening
Whats your take on this?
the water is the atmosphere explains the angular size not changing as much as you think it should as well as objects in the sky do not obey the same angular changes as this on the same plane as you.
as for the sun disappearing below the horizon - this is a result of the optical rising plain of the earth your standing on overriding the optical view of the optically lowering sky planes and the image is no longer able to be rendered. Its called the Perspective Matrix, maybe you should learn it, or whatever stay blind - your choice.
