Personally I prefer using a comedone extractor. For me, physical works better than chemical because my pores are large and they run deep.

Nah not daily just once every few days and yeah I use a gentle facewash before. I've also started taking ice baths which has really helped my skin, along with loads of other benefits like better mood etc. This guy is a legend:

I am not sure about subjecting your skin to an extreme temperature like that. Sounds like it would harm your skin.
