My point is though that if you were going to pay someone 100m to show up, then why would you want to lose?

Or am I missing info and Jake was the one that was getting paid to lose? To my understanding it would be the other guy to get paid to lose.

This is above all a money making event. Everyone gets paid this isn't winner takes all. They are both acting like a WWE match. Otherwise Jake Paul would get knocked out in first round.

They need to make the fight exciting for the fans so they have them shit talk and build up a hype. Both of them alone got paid over $100m imagine how much money the entire event generated.

It was expected for Jake Paul to lose because if he won it would be equivalent of some varsity team take on the Lakers and win. Its just unrealistic. They had to make this fight believable they can't just show up collect a check and walk off the people want to see action.

Not everything is scripted maybe he wasn't supposed to get a broken jaw wrestlers get injured all the time even though it's supposed to be play fighting.

I understand what you're saying. You might be right, might not be. To me, it's hard to tell in this specific fight. Yeah the jaw could have been a straight up accident, which can always happen.

I just think when people think everything is fixed all the time, that's just not true. And if both were being paid extremely high and the stakes really don't matter, then sure it could be fixed.

Oh I like watching ufc and boxing I think 95% of it is legit and wouldn't suspect any foul play. But this is Jake Paul youtube personality with his scammer brother Logan Paul we are talking about. A loud mouth wannabe vs professional boxer.
Under official regulations you cannot have more than 26 pounds weight difference they are pretty strict when it comes to real fights. This was granted under special considerations (aka they got paid a lot to pretend that it's official)
I mean the guy's last fight was vs Mike Tyson a 59 year old lmao.

Cmon now kk. They paid Anthony $100m and said just don't make it too quick. Even LeBron James doesn't make that kind of money. This was a clown show don't be a sucker.
